It's great! - but how do you make any money if it is free?

We get asked this a lot. We have no desire to make money from this site and we give our time to film and edit for free. Why? - because we enjoy the process - it keeps us fresh with our equipment and we meet some great people whilst doing it. Also we find it allows us to "switch back on" again - getting out of the office for a few hours a day can make all the difference to the rest of the day. We bought the equipment already for the business so why not use it! As active videobloggers that promotes "citizen journalism" and "open source media" we want to show that websites can be an easy and fast experience.

I'm a bit confused - can i talk to someone about the process?

That is understandable, after all do not get in front of a video camera on a daily basis to tell potentially thousands of people what we do. We have a livechat feature on our website so if you like we can talk with your in realtime (directly and privately) about the questions and how we go about recording the video. This is a text only chat.

Ok, i love the idea! - how do i get listed?

Contact us on +447813 908353 or email us to arrange a visit. We take on average 10 minutes to setup and the filming lasts no more than 5-10 minutes. Normally five quick questions are asked but you can script these yourself if you wish. As we stated, there is no cost we are simple using the videoblogging concept and tools available to us.

Who built this website.

Those nice folks at projects.cc came up with the idea for the local video site for business after Philip Campbell of Projects.cc won a "vloggie" at an event in san francisco in november 2006. It was quite a surprise to get an award for such a small part of a bigger project but it was enough to spur him on to build this small yet informative site for his home town. Projects deals in video production, website building, content management and pretty much anything with a computer attached to it.

thanks and credits

Thank you to chris towe and carola abrams at the burton chamber of commerce for the backing and support to push the site forward. Also to everyone that books us to do a video. Also would like to thank mediatemple and blip for such excellent hosting services.

things we need help with.

We are looking for a sponsor for the printing of some leaflets for the burton area in march 2007 when the website is in full swing. If you can provide this or at a discounted rate please get in touch. We are looking at expanding our online/offline video services to other areas in 2007 - if your company requires video feel free to drop us a line.

banner advertising

we are offering newcomers to the site the chance to get strong advertising locations on the website now at a very low monthly cost. You will receive hit tracking and a special login to be able to track your advert delivery vs clicks. Please contact us directly for information on this service. We will design you a banner and can make you advert live and active normally within 1 hour.
